It all matters

Hi cats! Here I am with a new outfit post! I'm even busier than before studying all days and preparing myself for an English certificate. I'm really nervous. But #shecandothat.

Today when I was going home from a chit chat in Optika Smole (check out my selfie in their Dior sunnies) I experienced a funny thing. I was walking to the nearest bus stop when I saw a girl taking pictures of me. "Okay. Keep calm, she's probably just doing selfies." As I got closer she stopped me and asked me if that's really me, Agnes. She was extremely nervous when she asked me to take a picture with her saying she's a huge fan of mine and that she's following me on all social media and it that meant the world to her to see me in real. I has so surprised I couldn't even speak. I must have given her one of those 'what's just happening' looks while taking that photo. She could't stop staring at me and thanking for that photo we took together. I hope I somehow made her day or whatever. :D

I realise that what's on the internet actually isn't just on the internet. So when it comes to meeting someone I know online I get a strange feeling. Of course I'm more than blown away by how much a second of my attention means to someone but at the same time I don't seem to understand why and how. I wish everyone would find their own thing they're amazing at and concentrate more on building and developing themselves rather then worshipping public figures like models or bloggers. It's time consuming.

Having a strong base of teenage readers which I certainly like and am proud of, I notice I'm quite influential. I hope that didn't sound vain. What I also notice is that an influence of fashion bloggers is becoming bigger and bigger. In the world suffering from a lack of genuine relations, attention from family members and their friends the communication between fashion bloggers and their followers became crucial. The more I think about it the more I wish to know about it. Fashion bloggers became the ones who raise teenagers and who they look up to.

Realising all that I feel responsible to be my best, to be kind, loving, hard-working, optimistic, conscious, generous, sincere. To share my knowledge, to inspire with new ideas, to encourage to think outside the box, to be genuine and tolerant. Fashion is a way of connecting people, not only in fashion related subjects.

Many people don't realise that but all of us have certain impact on others. Let this be a depressed photo of a tiny girl saying she's fat that you reblogged on Tumblr or a status about  how Katy Perry was looking at Super Bowl 2015. IT ALL MATTERS.

I'm wearing an artistic dress painted by Jože Šajn. I feel very honoured to be his grand daughter, he's my inspiration.

Grey

Inspiration of the day: Jože Šajn's so called 'Vešča' woman with grey hair.

Major thanks to my hairdresser Nathan Snayger from Stevo salon Ljubljana, who made some magic dying my hair from natural brown to light grey. I'm very pleased with the result!

Wearable art of Jože Šajn

It's a privilege to wear a piece of art. I'm lucky to have a grandpa who is a well known painter. Jože Šajn has had more than 100 solo exhibitions in many countries and his paintings are in private collections all over the world. He also published 2 books; his monography and Moj Kras (My karst) which you can read HERE.
You can visit the atelier and gallery of Jože Šajn in Ilirska Bistrica, Slovenia.

As you probably saw on social media (Facebook page or Instagram) I recently dyed my hair grey. Will be on my blog soon!

Spring in #BPOTD

I was wondering, should I wear brighter colors in spring? No, it's not 'Nez'! I'm just one of those cats who swear by the quote: "I'll stop wearing black when they invent a darker shade."

The painting of Joze Sajn I chose for this post represents the process. Spring is a process, right? The nature is waking up, it's time for Fashion Weeks, new wardrobe, makeup and fresh changes. And i'm somehow still in all that forever-dark-fall-mode.

I was very lucky to receive an amazing tee and an envelope bag of a Slovene designer B. Polanec! He's known for his couture hats, bird prints and for collection of #BPOTD T-shirts which are very popular right now! When you get one, make sure to hashtag it on social media :)
He also worked with ALLAROUNDEVE and was featured in Eclectic magazine.

This tee must have been made for me! Best of both worlds, black+spring theme print.

I'm wearing:
H&M skirt
H&M trench coat
H&M sandals

Spring is here: 5 product makeup

Finally spring! Well, I'm not really a girly girl, I still stand for black and dark makeup. But spring is also time to start fresh, isn't it?

Joze Sajn's painting inspired me to create this fresh minimalist spring makeup:

How to recreate this look
  1. Apply a thin layer of foundation to correct major imperfections.
  2. Fill in your brows using two different shades in your hair color - apply lighter shade where your brow starts and darker shade to the tail of your brow. Let them be thick and bushy. Groom them up.
  3. Use a liquid eyeliner to draw a delicate line at the roots of your upper lashes starting in the middle of your eye all the way out. You may also draw a tiny flick. You want it to optically thicken your lashes, but nothing too bold. I didn't use any mascara because I wanted the focus to be on bushy brows and 'au natural' face.
  4. Apply a pearly gold-white eye shadow in the inner corners of your eyes. Just a tiny bit. It will brighten up your eyes.
  5. Finish the look with a my-lips-but-better lipstick. I recommend using a creamy one without any shimmer. That's it! Simple but effective.

Products I used:
Ben Nye HD matte creme foundation
Urban Decay Naked Basics shades Naked 2 and Faint (for brows)
Kryolan eyeshadow Gold glow
Kryolan black cake eyeliner
MUA round lipstick shade 2

Thank you for reading!
And don't forget to comment below what do you think about it.

New year's eve makeup

I can't wait for the occasions like new year's eve because I can experiment with makeup how I want.
I adore the figure of 'vešča'. They always wear massive lashes! So I did a makeup look that will compliment my blue eyes and enhance the lashes. Great for party!

I must tell you that I'm not a pro, but I hope to become one ASAP. :)

I used these products in order below:

Less is more, back to basics

Joze Sajn tried to represent an elegant young lady. Her energy comes from inner self, because she's confident. She's happy and beautiful. The simplicity and minimalism of the painting were the inspiration for my makeup and outfit.

Back to basics.
It's Christmas time, finally. I cannot wait for the Christmas lunch, whole family gathered together, Christmas songs, and the spirit when opening the presents. I'd like to wish each of you, my lovely readers, to enjoy it as much as possible! It's not about presents themselves, it's about the spirit! You know, money can't buy the happiness.

Think about creating the Christmas-time magic. When preparing the presents include a piece of you in it, be original. It's so nice, when someone tries really hard and thinks about you, rather than giving you a voucher or even some money.
December is a beautiful month if you see through the cloud of materialism.
All you need is love. It's a basic human need.

Marry Christmas!

Recycled

I decided to 'renovate' my blog. Since I'm a huge art lover and a lucky granddaughter of an amazing artist Joze Sajn, I decided to take it to another level.
I've always admired his creations. The paintings inspire me. So, I connected my world, my fashion Wonderland with his world of paintings.
I'll post about fashion and beauty like before, but all the posts will be inspired by one of Sajn's paintings.

This time I picked this one:

I was inspired by this painting. Old bags and hungry mouths represent the hungry nation, everybody is craving more. Everyone wants a new bag, new pair of trousers, new blouse and of course (what is the most important) a new iPhone to be as cool as your friends.

I don't agree. Rocking it in my mums old boots, faux leather pants which I swapped with a friend, a sweater made by my nanny and in my mum's coat from the time she was in highschool!
They bring a special energy and of course a good feeling, when your friend asks you where you bought this gorgeous coat and you tell her 'Well it's 30 years old and I still know how to work it in 2013'.

So ladies (and gentlemen), READY SET GO, run to your grannies and discover all the unused old clothes that you can wear!

Have a nice lazy sunday,

xxx
