How to choose the right red lipstick?

The right shade of lipstick can brighten your face, while the wrong red could overpower a makeup look or make one look tawdry.

Here's my guide for choosing the best one for you.

What's your skin tone?

PORCELAIN (ultra light with cool undertones)
best: cool red (bright or dark)

daring option: warm red

FAIR (light with cool undertones)
best: cool red (bright or dark)

daring option: warm red

BISQUE (pink undertoned)
best: cool and warm bright red

daring: dark red (warm or cool)

BEIGE (yellow undertoned)
best: warm red, even cool red

daring: orangey bright red

OLIVE (green undertoned)
best: warm red

daring: pinky red or bright red

TAWNY (darker beige)
best: warm red

daring: orangey red

Some lipsticks that will suit everyone:
-MAC in Ruby Woo
-MAC in Russian red
-Clinique Almost Perfect in Black honey
-Elizabeth Arden in Rouge
-Nars in Red lizard
-Rimmel in Kate Moss 107

My tips:
~Your skin tone also depends on your foundation shade.
~Deep colors make your lips appear thinner.
~Lipsticks with blue base make your teeth look whiter.
~Lipsticks with brown base make your teeth look yellowish.
~Gradually add color, there are many ways to wear a red lipstick.
~You can mix different lipsticks together or create ombre look.
~Apply it with a brush for a smoother finish and sharper edge.
~Experiment, there are no rules! :)

Thank you for your time, I hope it was helpful!
